Purpose
We collect research, practices and case studies of citizen-driven urban farms worldwide, providing data that operators, real-estate companies and owners, and existing players can use to develop their own ventures.
What we cover
Citizen-participatory 'farming activities' that use urban space — building rooftops, interiors, and the gaps in and around buildings — including community gardens, rooftop farms and vacant-lot use.
What we exclude
Agritech, vertical farming / plant factories, ag-startups and biotech — efforts focused on technology and commercial production rather than citizen participation.
Themes we prioritise
DIY farm-building, organic resource circulation, composting, food loss, food education for children, and links to elderly care and welfare.
