Residents selected through a public application each cultivate a 20 sq m plot; the number of plots grew from 93 last year to 160 this year. The opening day on 9 April included hands-on planting of leafy and fruiting vegetables and succulent arrangements; through the growing season (to 30 November) the district also runs a five-session urban-farming education program covering cultivation techniques and plot management — a small, resident-facing municipal allotment garden.

Groups of one or two people each adopt a single roselle (hibiscus) plant, attend four free workshops, and can visit the farm freely from mid-May to mid-October. Harvesters take home a jar of roselle honey preserve, and the project doubles as a way for strangers to meet through shared farm work on repurposed urban land.

A free citywide urban-gardening festival in which Moscow opened vegetable beds and greenhouses in five parks — Khodynskoye Pole, Park of the 50th Anniversary of October, Tagansky, Izmailovsky and the Tsaritsyno museum reserve — from late May to the end of September. Visitors take a masterclass on planting vegetables, salad greens and culinary herbs, then put seedlings in the ground themselves and come back through the season to watch their plot. Classes run Friday to Sunday through the summer and at weekends in September. A 'Gardener's Passport' collects a stamp for each task completed and a keepsake once it is full, a device aimed at drawing in city residents who have never handled soil. Open to ages five and up.

A drop-in style programme of rice growing and vegetable harvesting on fields at 34 Namburyōtsuji and nearby, in Midori-ku, Saitama. Sessions follow the season — rice planting, potato digging, rice harvest, sweet potato digging and rape-blossom picking — with capacity of 100 per session on a first-come basis (children of primary school age and under accompanied). The produce is donated to welfare facilities and also given to participants. Run by INAKA PROJECT Minuma as part of Saitama Prefecture's programme for using publicly owned land in the Minuma paddy belt. Because it does not require a year-long commitment, it is easy for residents who only want to come once.

On 19 September the Cour Jardinée Jean Moulin holds an autumn festival with concerts and plant sales (2–7pm) and the Point Fort d'Aubervilliers a family garden festival with workshops (10am–8pm). From 23 to 30 September there are biodiversity workshops, beekeeping activities and ecological-corridor work; on 3–4 October the Jardin des Noyers hosts an exhibition and concert, while Une Oasis dans la Ville and Les Verts de Terre run composting workshops and demonstrations with plant giveaways. Bat and bird watching and shared meals run throughout — a string of small neighbourhood gatherings rather than one large event.

Run by Minuma Tanbo Club as part of Saitama Prefecture's programme for putting publicly owned land in the Minuma paddy belt to use. The annual urban-farming festival of Gyeryong, a small city in South Chungcheong province, held at Saeteosan Neighbourhood Park. It opens at 9:45am with a performance by the municipal children's choir, followed by the opening ceremony and awards for residents who have contributed to urban agriculture. Some twenty hands-on and information booths cover things residents can try straight away — building an autumn vegetable plot, caring for houseplants, and seed sharing. Alongside are demonstrations of agricultural drones and crop-virus test kits, tastings of local produce, bubble shows and other performances, and CPR practice. Every activity is free on a first-come basis, and completing three of them earns a potted plant through a stamp rally.

At the most recently documented edition, farmers from Tangail, Pabna, Natore, and Kushtia gathered to display and exchange over 200 native varieties — 149 rice varieties, 29 vegetables, 17 spices, and 11 fruits among them — while sharing seed-conservation and cultivation knowledge. It is a grassroots, farmer-organized seed swap rather than a government-run event.
