A station-front garden built on artificial ground over buried Odakyu rail tracks, offering 300+ plots across about 5,000 m2 as an accessible urban allotment for beginners.

Citizen participation

At this membership garden in front of Seijogakuen-mae Station, residents grow vegetables and flowers on 3-7.5 m2 plots with daily staff support, plus a children's 'Veg Kids School' for food education.

Operating model

A monthly-fee rental garden built on the gap space created above buried rail tracks, with a clubhouse, lounge and showers.

Impact

Turns leftover rail infrastructure space into green farming land, creating intergenerational food experiences and community right by a busy station.
