A study in Trau Quy town, Hanoi, Vietnam, collected quantitative and qualitative data from 40 households through surveys, in-depth interviews, and group discussions. The research found that urban agriculture contributes to household income, food security, food safety, and creates job opportunities for family labor, especially for those unable to find off-farm jobs. Socially, urban agriculture supports livelihood security and the maintenance of traditional social networks for households affected by urbanization.
