This study analyzes criminal liability in cases where electrified cables, installed to protect crops from wild animals in community gardens, resulted in fatalities in the Aceh region of Indonesia. Using a normative legal research approach, the study of death cases in Bireuen and Aceh Timur showed that the installation of electrical cables leading to loss of life was caused by the perpetrator's negligence in adhering to safety standards, fulfilling elements of criminal negligence under Indonesian criminal law. The resolution pattern for these cases follows the litigation route.
