This study used the K-means clustering algorithm to classify residential areas in Nankai District of Tianjin, China. It proposed differentiated strategies for integrating spatial elements and management mechanisms of urban agriculture in these residential areas and quantitatively assessed the sustainable benefits of updated urban agriculture. The results indicate that differentiated urban agriculture updates in four types of residential areas can significantly improve their sustainable benefits.
