This qualitative study examined the environmental communication strategies and models used by the Makassar Berkebun urban farming community in Makassar, South Sulawesi, to introduce urban agriculture concepts. Data were obtained through interviews and literature review. Findings indicate the community applies four communication strategies: socialization, campaigns, education, and training, utilizing mechanistic and interactional communication models, specifically those of David K Berlo (1960) and Schramm (1954).
