Home gardens – a localised nature-based solution for climate change adaptation and mitigation: a case study from the north-eastern region of India

Findings showed 60% of households engaged in home gardening, with an average garden size of 0.069 hectares. These home gardens provided an average annual economic yield of INR 18,700 and a 0.1 hectare garden stored 10.6 tons of carbon in trees and soil.
