This chapter, based on a 2009 study in Accra, Ghana, assessed the practices of institutions and programs that could finance urban agriculture, as well as existing bottlenecks and opportunities in financing. Information was gathered through surveys involving 179 respondents from financial institutions, urban farmers, traders, and processors, alongside literature reviews, stakeholder mapping, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and a validation workshop.
