This community outreach activity in the Cibabat area of Cimahi, Indonesia, responds to findings that urban rainwater is affected by local pollution sources and long-distance transport of natural and anthropogenic air pollutants, by using rainwater processed through a treatment installation as an irrigation source for soil-free hydroponic urban farming. Framing urban farming as a way to create green open space amid dense urban development, the activity delivered outreach and training on rainwater treatment technology to build residents' skills and knowledge.
