This study evaluated the contribution of gardening to happiness and well-being in urban organic allotment gardens at Devesa Park in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal. Sixty-five gardeners completed self-administered questionnaires, revealing that an increased frequency of visits for gardening was positively related to a greater perception of subjective happiness.
