Planning, Producing, Preparing and Tasting Produce Influences Dietary Behaviors of Elementary Students

This project proposes elementary school students participate in planning, producing, preparing, and tasting school garden produce. Food preferences for familiar and novel varieties were surveyed before and after the garden program, and percentage changes were measured. Student participants are hypothesized to gain enhanced consumption habits and food preferences for produce in their diets.
