Urban Farm DB summary
Article 14 of the Tokyo ordinance requires developers building or renovating on sites of 1,000 sqm or more (250 sqm or more for national/local government sites) to submit a greening plan covering both ground-level and building-top (e.g. rooftop) greening to the governor before starting work, to report completion of the greening afterward, and to properly maintain the resulting green space. Enacted December 22, 2000, with the most recent amendment taking effect June 1, 2025.
