This study investigated the effects of food production, urbanization, livestock production, and energy use on environmental quality in Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member economies. Using the PCS-ARDL approach, it found that food production and energy consumption positively impact environmental quality, while urbanization and livestock production negatively affect it. The results suggest a need for cohesive policies to balance these factors.
