Sustainability
Urban Farm DB summary
An empirical study based on 17 qualitative interviews conducted in New York City, Philadelphia and Chicago identified the areas, drivers and obstacles of innovation in U.S. urban agriculture. Learning and innovation were found to occur predominantly in four areas — financing and funding; production, technology and infrastructure; markets and demands; and social acceptance and cultural learning — with some novelties showing potential to contribute to broader societal change.
