Urban Farm DB summary

The Intercultural Garden movement was founded in 1996 in Göttingen, Germany, partly on the initiative of migrant families, with an association formally established in 1998. It began with just three gardens in Göttingen but had grown by early 2006 to about 300 members from about twenty countries, while around the same period thirty independent garden projects existed nationwide with more being created. The Munich-based foundation Stiftung Interkultur coordinates and supports garden projects across Germany.
