Overview
A green area in Oud Osdorp, Amsterdam Nieuw-West, spread on both sides of the Osdorperweg. Designated as undeveloped in the 1935 Algemeen Uitbreidingsplan and confirmed as recreational land in the 2003 structuurplan, its development began in 2009. It belongs to the 'green fingers' idea conceived by the urban planner Cornelis van Eesteren and serves ecological connectivity as part of the Groene As. Made up of four polders, it contains allotment parks, a bee park, the Fruittuin van West orchard opened in 2014, and urban agriculture enterprises.
