This study critically considers the new paradigm of urban parks, noting that despite progress, urban parks face increased criticism. Criticisms include long development periods for tree growth, limitations in general and cultural ecology, and a lack of economic validity. The study proposes urban agricultural parks as an alternative, connecting them to sustainable regional development and low-carbon society.

To maximize the overall benefits of multi-functional agriculture, its layout must adhere to principles such as multi-interaction, moderate scale, land space division, and coordinated development and growth. The eco-economic zone can be divided into areas of production agriculture, ecological tourism, urban agriculture, and characteristic agriculture, with each area having distinct agricultural growth points.

In Kimje-si, South Korea, land use changes were analyzed and future changes beyond 2030 were forecasted using LANDSAT TM imagery, HSB transformation, and a Markov Chain method with GIS data. Geographical features were found to have the greatest influence on land use changes, with 21.67% of mountain lands predicted to become farmland and 13.11% to become city areas.

In Seoul metropolitan urbanites, South Korea, differences in willingness to participate in farm village experience tourism and perceptions were investigated between groups with and without urban farming experience. The study found that the urban farming experienced group showed less willingness to participate in farm village experience tourism compared to the non-experienced group. Primary reasons for participation were the natural environment and children's education, while the main reason for non-participation was busy daily life.

The design of the Meishan "China Pickled Vegetable City" urban agricultural base proposed a design concept from the composite perspectives of spatial, industrial, and landscape systems, aiming to maintain ecological patterns, promote industrial integration, and continue rural landscape characteristics. By strengthening the ecological, production, and living functions of the urban agricultural base, and constructing a rational spatial layout, complete industrial structure, and unique landscape system, this design provides insights for similar urban agricultural base designs.

This paper reviews the demonstration practices and achievements of the Luancheng Agro-Ecosystem Experimental Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences over 30 years in Luancheng County, Hebei Province. Since the early 1980s, the station has pioneered research and demonstration of new technologies such as facility agriculture, rural new energy, straw mechanized mulching, and standardized wheat cultivation. Since the early 2000s, it has focused on urban agriculture models centered on information technology.

This study established a system dynamics model for the sustainable development system of urban agritourism by analyzing its causal loop diagram and stock and flow diagram. Based on this system dynamic modeling and simulation, an optimal mode for the sustainable development of urban agritourism in Conghua District of Guangzhou City was proposed. This study analyzed the current situation of rural industrialization in the process of rural-urban integration in Binhai New Area using reference and field research methods. This article analyzed the comparative advantages of agricultural sub-sectors in Taiyuan City, China, using the location quotient and revealed symmetric comparative advantage (RSCA) methods, based on the theory of comparative advantage. The results showed that Jiancaoping, Qingxu, and Xiaodian districts are superior in characterized agriculture; Yingze, Xinghualing, and Loufan counties in forestry; and Jinyuan, Yingze, and Loutan counties in fishery. Consequently, the industrial development of urban agriculture in Taiyuan can be categorized into four cycles: sightseeing and leisure, characterized, sci-tech demonstration, and cooperative agriculture.

This study analyzed the gap in urban and rural economic development in Wuhan. This disparity is reflected in differences in personal capital income, property, living standards, and the Engel coefficient of household expenditure. Unresolved past problems, an enlarging gap between industry and agriculture, a decreasing proportion of agricultural output, and an increasing contrast coefficient of industrial and agricultural sectors are identified as main causes of the gap.
