Overview
An experience rental farm at Oak Village Kashiwanoha, near Kashiwanoha-campus Station inside Mitsui Fudosan's Kashiwanoha Smart City area. Citizens held 10 sqm plots on a garden-like ~6,000 sqm farm and grew vegetables organically. It was part of a 'food and farming' complex with a farm restaurant and BBQ, but has since closed.
Citizen participation
Citizens rented 10 sqm private plots at a membership-based experience farm and grew/harvested vegetables organically under instructor guidance, following a planting plan. Tools, lockers and showers were provided so beginners could join; harvested produce could be eaten at the adjacent farm restaurant/BBQ as a 'food and farming' experience hub.
