Floodable Park Landscape Model as Adaptive Infrastructure: Integrating Blue-Green Technology and Community Education for Urban Flood Mitigation in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia

This study proposes a floodable park landscape model integrating blue-green infrastructure with community education programs for urban flood mitigation in Bandar Lampung City, Indonesia. Focusing on Barunaria Field in Panjang District, field surveys and resident interviews identified low infiltration capacity, high runoff coefficients, acidic soil, waste accumulation, and noise pollution as contributing flood factors. The proposed modular design integrates rain gardens and permeable pavements with social and agricultural zones, including urban farming, functioning for recreation and food production during dry periods and as a retention system during the rainy season.

In Karang Taruna Tri Yudha Sakti Bumijo Kulon, Indonesia, Augmented Reality (AR) training was conducted to enhance youth digital literacy and technology access. The training involved technical guidance on AR content creation, practical application, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. Knowledge scores improved from an average of 80.71 on the pretest to 100 on the post-test. 17 participants successfully applied AR in practical activities and developed one promotional media for tourism, arts, culture, and urban farming in Badran.

In Kampung Telolet Om, Malang, Indonesia, a circular economy program integrating Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae and laying hens was implemented for 20 residents to address organic waste and food insecurity. The program processed household organic waste into BSF larvae feed, substituted chicken feed, produced organic fertilizers, and applied them to urban farming. Pre- and post-tests showed participants' knowledge increased from 44.12% to 53.82%, successfully reducing organic waste volume and producing food products.

This study examined how regenerative urban tourism can be strategically developed in North Jakarta, Indonesia, using a systematic literature review, focus group discussions with stakeholders, and TOWS analysis. North Jakarta was found to have relatively strong internal capacity (IFE = 3.04) and a favorable external environment (EFE = 3.16), placing it in a "grow and build" position. Strategic priorities include developing eco-tourism and urban farming based on community greening initiatives, strengthening cultural and heritage-based tourism, enhancing MSME digital capacity, and addressing environmental and infrastructure constraints like waste management and flooding.

This community service initiative aimed to enhance family productivity by training 15 Family Welfare Empowerment (FWE) members in Jetis Hamlet, Malang, Indonesia, in aquaponic cultivation and harvest processing. Conducted from July to December 2025 with intensive mentoring and a learning-by-doing approach, evaluation using pretest and posttest instruments showed a substantial increase in participant capacity. Average knowledge scores increased from 37 to 82, and technical skills improved from 52 to 81.

In Nagrek Village, Tangerang, Indonesia, an urban farming program was implemented to address the lack of green open space and engage non-productive housewives. The program, utilizing conventional and hydroponic systems, involved five stages: preparation, outreach, training, mentoring, and evaluation, with results recorded on the Artemis digital platform. The urban farming training led to Nagrek Village appearing more beautiful, and many non-participant residents expressed interest in adopting urban farming in their own homes.

This activity designed, built, and implemented a solar-based hydroponic system in Gampong Barabung, Aceh Besar Regency, Indonesia, to introduce sustainable plant cultivation. An NFT hydroponic system with 120 planting holes was successfully integrated with a 150 Wp solar panel to power the nutrient circulation pump. The system operated well for vegetable cultivation, demonstrating the potential of integrating hydroponic technology and solar energy for efficient and environmentally friendly agricultural practices at the village level.

This study analyzed the Bandar Lampung City Government's policy strategies for strengthening urban farming as an instrument of urban food security in Indonesia. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach and secondary data, key issues identified were households' high dependence on markets, suboptimal development of backyard and community-based urban farming, and weak integration of urban farming with the city's food security policies.

A longitudinal qualitative case study in a South Korean senior public rental housing community examined the first transition to self-governance in a rooftop community garden. The transition led to ecological and sensory degradation, including disrupted ecological rhythm and reduced olfactory comfort, and social fragmentation with disputes and leadership frictions. These findings revealed limits of participation-heavy models without codified rules or procedural safeguards, indicating that effective self-governance requires visible rules, procedural fairness, embedded learning, and mediation structures.

This qualitative literature review examines informal green spaces (IGS) in Chinese cities, contrasting them with formal, hyper-managed landscapes. The study finds that while formal lawns incur high financial maintenance burdens and lower biodiversity, IGS, including spontaneous urban wilderness and community gardens, are often cleared despite offering higher biodiversity and zero maintenance costs. The research highlights a governance dilemma where the prioritization of neatness over ecology leads to the removal of IGS, which support psychological place attachment and spatial justice for marginalized groups.

This qualitative descriptive study examined the multi-sector integrated urban farming model implemented by the Mekarsari Farmers Group in Surabaya City, Indonesia. The group developed a model combining crop cultivation, fisheries, and household-scale livestock farming on limited urban land. Findings indicate that this multi-sector integration can increase household food availability, income, and strengthen family food security.

This descriptive qualitative study analyzed the implementation of the Smart Problem Finder Program to strengthen numeracy literacy among elementary school students and teachers. Data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation indicated that the program effectively enhanced students' numeracy skills, particularly in addition and subtraction. The program also positively impacted learning motivation and active participation through game-based learning in the school garden, supported by teachers as facilitators.

This systematic review examined strategies, trade-offs, and synergies of climate-smart urban agriculture relevant to Palembang City, Indonesia. A total of 400 records were identified from Google Scholar and Scopus, with 352 unique records screened. While urban agriculture showed five key contributions, including strengthening food security, several critical trade-offs were identified, such as land scarcity, energy and water requirements, soil contamination risks, technological costs, and policy fragmentation. The review emphasizes that urban agriculture should be part of a broader transformation of urban food systems, not a stand-alone solution.

This study examined the spatial, institutional, and planning feasibility of integrating urban agriculture into the urban planning structure of Bhubaneswar, India. Using a mixed-method planning framework, it evaluated urban land availability, rooftop feasibility, food accessibility, supply-chain dependency, institutional readiness, and decentralized food-production potential. Findings indicated that urban agriculture integration within statutory planning systems remains limited in rapidly urbanizing Indian cities, and vendor assessments showed strong dependence on peri-urban and external food inflows contributing to seasonal price instability and food wastage.

This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of the Sampora Village community in Tangerang, Indonesia, in developing sustainable urban farming through hydroponic systems. Educational counseling, hands-on training in hydroponic techniques, and technical guidance were employed, with data analyzed using a descriptive approach combining quantitative analysis of pre-test and post-test results. Participants showed significant improvements in competencies, including increased understanding of hydroponic systems from 20% to 85%, installation skills from 15% to 80%, nutrient management knowledge from 10% to 78%, and maintenance skills from 12% to 82%.

This article discusses the TEBA (Organic Waste Bin) development program in Untia Village, Indonesia, aimed at reducing household organic waste. The program involved building 6 TEBA units, training residents in organic waste management, and assisting them in composting for productive activities like urban farming. Results showed increased community awareness in sorting organic waste, reduced waste volume sent to landfills, and the formation of a sustainable community-based waste management system.
