Opened April 2026 on a former condo lot in Togoshi, Shinagawa. About 330㎡ split into farm and plaza uses Plantio grow’s shared cultivation and IoT support as a neighbourhood courtyard. Membership filled quickly; the project is building shop-street ties and a local gathering place.
Citizen participation
Shared cultivation rather than allotments: members choose crops together and share tasks from sowing to harvest. On-site coordinators plus IoT sensors and the grow app guide care. Monthly family/couple/individual plans. The plaza hosts markets, workshops and disaster drills.
Operating model
Hankyu Hanshin Properties supplies a former condo site in Togoshi; Plantio’s grow operates it as a membership community farm (from about ¥2,178/month per person) with shared growing and a public plaza.
Impact
Turns an inner-city redevelopment gap into a shared farm and plaza, lowering barriers via toolkits and apps while hosting resilience and neighbourhood events.
