A study in Margajaya Village, Bogor City, Indonesia, involving 94 households, analyzed factors influencing household decisions in implementing urban agriculture. It found that 87.23% of the community understood urban agriculture concepts, with the tabulampot system being the most applied method (51.22%). Household preferences, influenced by economic, environmental, and social aspects, and knowledge of urban agriculture positively affected decisions to implement urban agriculture.

A community service program implemented in Lubang Buaya Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta, in 2023 aimed to promote urban farming using used bottles to strengthen local food security. The program successfully improved participants' knowledge, skills, and insights in hydroponic plant cultivation, stimulated household-scale business development, and contributed to environmental improvement.

This 2023 qualitative study in Indonesia analyzed the characteristics of organic urban farming actors and their considerations for choosing irrigation systems. The majority of respondents were of productive age, had a high school education, and worked as civil servants, private sector employees, or entrepreneurs. Key considerations for selecting an irrigation type included complexity, time availability, and ease of implementation.

This study aimed to assess and rescale the scales and narratives of urban agriculture in South Korea to implement its multidimensional functions and values. Narratives from 1980 to 2022 were collected from related laws, plans, and research papers to analyze the definition of urban agriculture, the distinction between farmers and urban farmers, spatial scales, and functions and values. As a result, urban agriculture was redefined as agricultural production activities carried out by the public in urban agricultural spaces, spaces linked to urban agriculture, or spaces with urban agriculture contexts.

This community assistance program in Bukit Sangkal village, Kalidoni district, Palembang City, aimed to map potential vacant lands for urban farming and suitable commodities for cultivation. The program found that while urban farming has been implemented as a poverty alleviation method in Bukit Sangkal, the utilization of vacant land remains suboptimal, with many residents still disposing of waste indiscriminately. Continued involvement from various parties is needed to provide information and extension services on urban farming and innovation adoption.

This qualitative study investigated informal economic education in urban farming family households in Makassar City, Indonesia, focusing on children's saving habits. Data was collected through observation and interviews with five parents and five children. Findings indicate that parents instilled early understanding of saving, fostering knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors that children perceived as meaningful learning, and that freedom from coercion in saving also created lasting lessons.

The DKI Jakarta government promotes vertical housing as a solution to this issue. In Banjarsari District, Surakarta City, 35 farmer groups practice urban agriculture, but only 9 of them are active. This study was conducted to identify internal and external factors and determine alternative and priority development strategies. Results from IFE, EFE, IE, SWOT, and QSPM matrix analyses showed that the main strength was innovation in various processed products, while the main weakness was a lack of courage to take risks. The prioritized urban agriculture development strategy identified was marketing products online through marketplaces and social media.

This study evaluated the agricultural production potential of urban rooftop spaces in Shibei District, Qingdao, China, using GIS spatial analysis. After analyzing inventory standards for idle rooftop space and conducting statistical analysis, the research found that the rooftop area of urban buildings in Shibei District is 383.3 hectares, with an annual vegetable production potential of 25,800 tons, capable of supplying 184,300 urban residents. It concluded that the idle rooftop area in cities and its potential for agricultural production are significant.

This study investigated the emergence and development of two flagship community garden cases in Shanghai, China, initiated in 2016. Observations revealed that a nonprofit organization, not local citizens or municipal government, proactively advanced community garden production and participation. The community garden phenomenon was found to reify an alternative subjectivity, emphasizing social organizations as a state "flanking mechanism" for extraeconomic urban governance objectives.

This quantitative descriptive study in Malang City, Indonesia, used Rank Spearman correlation analysis to examine the relationship between agricultural extension workers' characteristics, competence, motivation, and performance. The findings indicated that extension workers were moderately competent, motivated, and performed at a moderately optimal level. Age, length of service, competence in program planning, implementation, and evaluation, and achievement needs were significantly related to performance. Education, training, professional development competence, and affiliation needs were not found to be related to performance.

An urban farming program was implemented in Kalinegoro Village RW III, Magelang Regency, Indonesia, with the PKK team and housing residents. The program aimed to address potential food shortages during the Covid-19 pandemic. Participants showed enthusiasm, leading to the creation of a park incorporating urban farming practices. The initiative is expected to serve as a solution for food security during the pandemic.

This study investigated the food security of urban agricultural households (subsistence, semi-commercial, and commercial) in North Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. A study of 321 households found that the average calorie adequacy for all urban agriculture types was 84.53%, and 53.89% of respondents were categorized as food-vulnerable, indicating low household food security.

This community service project targeted women in the "Ijo Royo-Royo" Women Farmers Group in Tambakaji, Semarang City, Indonesia, addressing their limited experience in utilizing narrow home yards for planting and lack of skills in waste management. The project provided assistance in creating urban gardens for daily food independence, managing plastic waste for vertical planting, and processing vegetable and fruit waste into healthy drinks and organic fertilizer. The aim was to increase the economic value and benefits of urban backyard farming.

In Seoul, South Korea, the suitability of urban rooftop greenhouses (RGs) was analyzed by combining the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Location suitability factors were derived through expert consultations, and AHP was used to calculate factor weights. The highest weight for RG location factors was benefit (0.1782), followed by officially assessed land prices (0.0913) and supermarket density (0.0802). Analysis linking these results with spatial data revealed that Gangseo-gu had relatively high location suitability scores.

This paper proposes an architectural strategy, specifically urban acupuncture, to reactivate the degraded tourism identity of Kampung Jaksa, particularly Jaksa Street, in Indonesia. The design results in a gallery building focused on culinary tourism, explaining Indonesian cuisine through interactive and learnable techniques. This design also includes supporting programs such as vertical urban farming and site-responsive building orientation to provide public space.

This research aimed to develop a viable urban farming-based food security VLOG learning media using a contextual approach. The ADDIE development model was employed, and expert validation indicated the VLOG media was suitable for feasibility testing with minor revisions. Feasibility tests conducted by teachers and students at SMAN 1 Geger Madiun yielded scores of 91.7% and 86.2% respectively, demonstrating that the VLOG media was highly feasible and could be used in geography learning without revision.

A qualitative case study at Yapis Kaimana Elementary School aimed to identify the teacher's role in developing naturalist intelligence in science learning. Data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation found that teachers use learning methods focused on observation, experimentation, and hands-on experience. Teachers also provide opportunities for students to develop their interests and talents in natural sciences through activities such as environmental observations and school gardens.

This study was conducted in 10 districts of Tasikmalaya City, Indonesia, involving 100 urban farming actors. It aimed to analyze the performance of urban farming and its influencing factors in Tasikmalaya City, and to formulate a sustainable urban farming development model using SEM WarpPLS 7.0. The findings indicate that urban farming performance in Tasikmalaya City positively influences sustainable agriculture, and that actor characteristics and supporting institutions affect urban farming performance.

This study developed a spatial model for land suitability evaluation of urban agricultural development under different investment demands (urban agriculture 1.0 and 2.0) in Fuzhou, China. GIS and TOPSIS analysis techniques, based on prospect theory, were utilized. The land suitability evaluation system incorporated ecological environment, social demand, and investment cost. Results indicated Changle as the most suitable area for urban agriculture 1.0, while Gulou was most suitable for urban agriculture 2.0.

This project addressed agricultural challenges in Bangkal Village, Banjarbaru City, Indonesia, where farmers face issues with soil fertility and seasonal flooding. The proposed solution involved transferring technology for making organic fertilizer using indigenous microbes (Trichoderma sp.) and aquatic weeds (kalakai and kayapu). Initial outreach and a workshop with 42 participants revealed farmers needed direct practical guidance. Ongoing field assistance enabled the "Bunga Padi" farmer group to produce packaged organic fertilizer for market and local use, with the aim of eventually marketing Bangkal-specific organic red rice.

This study designed and constructed a model garden at the Sejong National Arboretum, South Korea, to provide scientific data on the carbon-reducing functions of gardens. The experimental area was divided to analyze carbon reduction effects based on biochar amount, planting density, and plant species. The model garden incorporated rainwater utilization facilities and low-carbon certified materials, with the carbon reduction effect of each facility and construction method compared.

A study in seven districts of Guangzhou City, China, evaluated the large-scale occurrence and spatiotemporal distribution of 16 PAHs and 14 OPAHs in urban agricultural soils. Average concentrations of ΣPAHs and ΣOPAHs during the flood season (59.6 ± 31.1-213 ± 115.5 μg/kg) were significantly higher than during the dry season (42.1 ± 13.3-157.2 ± 98.2 μg/kg). Coal combustion and traffic emissions were identified as the dominant sources for these contaminants in both seasons.

A community service project in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, aimed to empower the Aisyiyah branch community through organic urban farming using polybags. The project provided training in organic plant cultivation and verticulture, and developed organic nutrient production from household waste to ensure fertilizer availability. The initiative successfully produced starter fertilizers, including biolactobacillus and Local Microorganisms (MOL).
