This study investigated the impact of perceived ecosystem services (ES) and disservices (EDS) on behavioral intention towards urban community gardens (UCGs) among 1142 residents in Changsha, China. While government decision-makers often refuse UCGs, residents' attitudes, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms positively impacted their behavioral intention towards UCGs. Perceived ES had a direct positive impact on behavioral intention, whereas perceived EDS had a direct negative impact.

In Bener village, Tegalrejo, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, a community service activity was conducted to introduce urban farming and the practice of fruit cultivation in pots (Tabulampot). The activity included urban farming socialization, planting media preparation, introduction of guava varieties, and transplanting and maintenance practices. The practical planting and direct mentoring proved effective in encouraging residents to implement urban farming in their environment.

This phenomenalistic research mapped intergenerational family business potentials among 193 SMEs in the urban agricultural community of Surabaya, Indonesia, using questionnaires. The study found the highest potential among women who graduated from senior high school, with 1 to 5 years of start-up experience in the food industry, primarily employing family members. These businesses were intended to be inherited by their children and managed by the women of the family.

This community service activity involved providing outreach and training on microgreen cultivation to the WES (Women and Environmental Studies) community in Kota Metro, Indonesia. The activity concluded that participants were able to enhance their knowledge regarding microgreens. It is hoped that participants can apply microgreen cultivation skills, which will impact the improvement of healthy lifestyles and strengthen family food security.

A study analyzed hydroponic urban farming as an entrepreneurial development effort in Karangwidoro Village, Malang Regency, Indonesia, where the project has been running since early 2020. Using a community-based research method and SWOT analysis, the study found that Karangwidoro village agriculture has a great opportunity to be developed as a profit business.

This descriptive qualitative study analyzed empowerment strategies for 10 elderly informants in Kampung Wonosari 3G, Malang City, Indonesia, using the A.C.T.O.R.S theory. The research confirmed that strategies focusing on authority, confidence, competence, responsibility, and support led to increased self-respect, self-confidence, and self-reliance among the elderly community. The study suggests urban farming as a change movement to improve the environment in this slum area.

This qualitative descriptive study investigated food security strategies within an urban farming program in Bara-baraya Village, Indonesia, focusing on the Orchid Women Farmers Group (KWT). Data from interviews and observations revealed that one realized strategy by the government and community members is the development of a Sustainable Food House Yard Area Model.

This reflective study, conducted with 30 informants in Malang City, Indonesia, investigated factors driving urban farming success during the COVID-19 pandemic. Previous research identified external constraints, such as minimal government intervention, and internal issues, like low public enthusiasm. However, this study found that during the pandemic, urban farming conditions, public enthusiasm, and government intervention increased. The research also correlated communal society and local cultural elements with urban farming activities, suggesting optimal practice when implemented at a community scale and linked to local culture.

A microgreens cultivation socialization activity was conducted in Jemur Wonosari village, Surabaya City, Indonesia. Participants included representatives from farmer groups and all RW (community association) heads of Jemur Wonosari village, using vegetable seeds, rockwool, water, cocopeat, microgreens trays, and water sprays. The activity positively impacted the community's knowledge of urban farming systems, particularly beyond hydroponics, indicating microgreens could be an alternative for maintaining household-level food security.

This critical reflection study investigated the perspectives on urban farming implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic in Malang City, Indonesia, with 30 participants from Lowokwaru, Sukun, and Blimbing Districts. The research aimed to identify factors affecting urban farming's success in supporting food security. Findings indicated that growing interest, urban farming contests, social activities, farmer group communities, and government and community roles contributed to the success of urban farming in the area.

As urbanization accelerates in China, urban green space is becoming increasingly insufficient. This study analyzed Shenzhen's current three-dimensional greening policies and compared them with those of advanced foreign cities. The findings revealed three problems in Shenzhen's policies: a small scope of application, a lack of planning elements, and a low degree of compulsion. The paper proposes improvement solutions and optimization suggestions based on the governance experiences of other cities to address these shortcomings.

This three-year program aims to develop a resilient village in RT 03 RW 13 Desa Sukasari, Cianjur, Indonesia, based on the concept of human and community security. Using methods like lectures and FGDs, the initial phase (2020-2021) established five priority programs: education, religion, security and health, economic productivity, and environment, with various stakeholders involved. By the second half of the first year, most targeted programs, including urban farming and public facility development, were well-implemented. The primary challenge is maintaining stakeholder consistency for program sustainability.

A community service activity in Bandarlampung, Indonesia, introduced soilless vegetable cultivation using an urban farming scheme to mothers in RT.04 Rajabasa Nyunyai Village. Through participatory training and mentoring, the activity successfully increased participants' knowledge of utilizing home yards, leading to the adoption of hydroponic vegetable cultivation in their homes.

This study aimed to determine the economic feasibility of urban agriculture businesses in Makassar City, Indonesia, focusing on production, market/marketing, and financial aspects. Qualitative data was used for production and market analysis, while quantitative data was used for financial analysis with Payback Period (PP) and Net Present Value (NPV). The results indicated that the KWT Anggrek business was feasible in terms of production and marketing, but the financial analysis showed a Net Present Value of -8,005,133, indicating that the business is not financially viable to continue.

This qualitative study examined the environmental communication strategies and models used by the Makassar Berkebun urban farming community in Makassar, South Sulawesi, to introduce urban agriculture concepts. Data were obtained through interviews and literature review. Findings indicate the community applies four communication strategies: socialization, campaigns, education, and training, utilizing mechanistic and interactional communication models, specifically those of David K Berlo (1960) and Schramm (1954).

This action research in Mataram City during the COVID-19 pandemic introduced Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices to urban farming groups. Group discussions revealed that while participants were interested in developing fresh vegetables and fruits and found benefits in meeting family food needs, most members were unfamiliar with environmentally friendly cultivation techniques, particularly IPM.

This study examines the use of green roofs and facades in Seoul, South Korea, linking their widespread adoption to climatic features, systematic municipal support, and promotion of urban farming. It notes their practical, ecological, aesthetic, and social functions, with complex effects depending on building type and climatic factors. The study also highlights that direct adoption of this experience in Russia is not feasible due to climatic differences.

A descriptive qualitative study examined the financial literacy level of 4 farmers in the Anggrek farmer women’s group in Bara – Baraya Village, Makassar City, Indonesia. While knowledge of finance, savings, and loans was good, trust and use of financial institutions, insurance, and investment were very limited, indicating that the overall financial literacy of the farmers needs improvement.

This study aimed to demonstrate the production of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from organic waste in the urban farming communities of Omah Paseduluran Sleman and Gemah Ripah Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as a pilot project for cultivating Brazilian spinach. The activity showed that POC made from organic waste like rice wash water, fruit peel slices, and sheep urine is easy to produce. Participants were enthusiastic and committed to making POC independently for their cultivated plants.

An urban farming program was initiated in Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, and qualitative descriptive methods, Likert scale, and SWOT analysis were used to identify development strategies, analyze public perceptions, and formulate strategies. While urban farming showed potential across technical, social, institutional, commercial, financial, and environmental aspects, obstacles included respondents' time, usable land, capital, supportive institutions, and limited marketing information. The most significant weakness identified was product marketing.

The need for pedestrian zones in India is discussed, proposing a concept for walkways equipped with energy-generating tiles and photovoltaic panels. These walkways would power their own lighting from pedestrian movement and contribute to the grid. Some shade tops would also double as urban farming belts, aiming to improve urban walkability, biodiversity, and social landscape.

An economic feasibility study was conducted on the urban farming business of the KWT Anggrek Women's Farmer Group in Makassar City, examining production, marketing, and financial aspects. While the business was deemed feasible in terms of production and marketing, the financial aspect showed a Net Present Value (NPV) of -8,350,133, indicating it was not feasible according to NPV provisions. However, the payback period was a favorable 1 year, 9 months, and 4 days, suggesting the business could continue.

This study aimed to describe factors influencing urban farmers' financial literacy and formulate effective solutions for improvement. Conducted with a qualitative approach, it found that urban farmers' financial literacy is influenced by financial knowledge, financial attitudes, family environment, and peers. To enhance financial literacy, behavioral changes supported by informal education within families and mass-approach development outreach utilizing digital media for knowledge acquisition are deemed necessary.

This research investigated strategies to improve urban agriculture quality for food security in Bali Province, Indonesia, using a literature study method. The findings revealed that urban farming in Bali faces many obstacles, including the absence of regulations on urban farming, the lack of an institution to protect urban farming communities, and ineffective marketing methods. Government support is needed for the agricultural sector.
