This quantitative study, with 202 respondents in Makassar, Indonesia, analyzed the effect of knowledge, perceptions, and attitudes on consumer intention to buy houses with an urban farming concept. Data was processed using SPSS and SEM with a PLS approach. The knowledge variable did not directly affect consumer buying interest, but it did indirectly affect it when mediated by attitude and perception variables. Perception and attitude variables had a significant direct effect on consumer buying interest, and high prices were also found to affect buying interest.

This community service project in a remote area of Palembang, Indonesia, aimed to empower local mothers through urban farming (hydroponics) to generate additional family income. Activities included counseling, land preparation, hydroponic system installation, seeding, maintenance, training, and product marketing. The project resulted in partners independently conducting hydroponic planting and selling agricultural products with higher profits than initial capital.

A study in Bandung, Indonesia, surveyed 321 households to assess urban agriculture's contribution to household food fulfillment and income. The findings showed an insignificant 9% contribution to food fulfillment and a 41.5% contribution to income. This limited impact was attributed to metropolitan complexities, including restricted land access and increasing commercialization.

This qualitative study examined the community empowerment model through urban farming in the Orchid Women Farmer Group (KWT) in Bara-Barayya Village, Makassar City, Indonesia. Using the CIPOO model approach, the study found that while some aspects of the empowerment model were not fully met, the overall empowerment results in urban farming at the Orchid KWT were effective. This led to increased resource utilization and community harmony among participants.

This study used the Analytical Network Process (ANP) method with expert respondents to determine urban farming development priorities in Magelang, Indonesia. The social dimension was identified as the overall sustainability priority. Key priorities across dimensions included women farmers' income and motivation, land availability, cultivation technology, and agricultural extension roles, leading to integrated agriculture as the priority strategy.

This study describes assistance provided to Agro Wates in Semarang City, Indonesia, which has been an urban farming site since 2018. The assistance aimed to help managers develop agro-business management through educational tourism, utilizing methods such as agro potential analysis, educational tourism program guidance, and FGDs. The outcome included the establishment of three management concepts for Agro Wates as an educational tourism destination and increased confidence among managers as tour guides.

This study investigated changes in the urban farming community in Surakarta, Indonesia, using the AIDP model analysis approach, surveying 50 community members. Results showed varying success rates across strategy stages; evaluation strategies like partnerships with local traders and financial institutions, vertical land use, and open dialogue performed poorly. Furthermore, improving financial literacy and sustainable waste management systems were unsuccessful, and agricultural product brand promotion and innovative institutional models also performed poorly.

A study in Margajaya Village, Bogor City, Indonesia, involving 94 households, analyzed factors influencing household decisions in implementing urban agriculture. It found that 87.23% of the community understood urban agriculture concepts, with the tabulampot system being the most applied method (51.22%). Household preferences, influenced by economic, environmental, and social aspects, and knowledge of urban agriculture positively affected decisions to implement urban agriculture.

This article discusses the concept of "Agritecture" as a potential solution to address food security challenges in urban areas amidst increasing urbanization and declining agricultural land in India. It explores the interactions between agriculture and architecture to support urban necessities and ecosystems. The study suggests exploiting the opportunity in developing physical structures for agricultural output to accelerate urban and rural growth.

This community assistance program in Bukit Sangkal village, Kalidoni district, Palembang City, aimed to map potential vacant lands for urban farming and suitable commodities for cultivation. The program found that while urban farming has been implemented as a poverty alleviation method in Bukit Sangkal, the utilization of vacant land remains suboptimal, with many residents still disposing of waste indiscriminately. Continued involvement from various parties is needed to provide information and extension services on urban farming and innovation adoption.

This qualitative study investigated informal economic education in urban farming family households in Makassar City, Indonesia, focusing on children's saving habits. Data was collected through observation and interviews with five parents and five children. Findings indicate that parents instilled early understanding of saving, fostering knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors that children perceived as meaningful learning, and that freedom from coercion in saving also created lasting lessons.

In Banjarsari District, Surakarta City, 35 farmer groups practice urban agriculture, but only 9 of them are active. This study was conducted to identify internal and external factors and determine alternative and priority development strategies. Results from IFE, EFE, IE, SWOT, and QSPM matrix analyses showed that the main strength was innovation in various processed products, while the main weakness was a lack of courage to take risks. The prioritized urban agriculture development strategy identified was marketing products online through marketplaces and social media.

This study evaluated the agricultural production potential of urban rooftop spaces in Shibei District, Qingdao, China, using GIS spatial analysis. After analyzing inventory standards for idle rooftop space and conducting statistical analysis, the research found that the rooftop area of urban buildings in Shibei District is 383.3 hectares, with an annual vegetable production potential of 25,800 tons, capable of supplying 184,300 urban residents. It concluded that the idle rooftop area in cities and its potential for agricultural production are significant.

This study investigated the food security of urban agricultural households (subsistence, semi-commercial, and commercial) in North Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. A study of 321 households found that the average calorie adequacy for all urban agriculture types was 84.53%, and 53.89% of respondents were categorized as food-vulnerable, indicating low household food security.

This community service project targeted women in the "Ijo Royo-Royo" Women Farmers Group in Tambakaji, Semarang City, Indonesia, addressing their limited experience in utilizing narrow home yards for planting and lack of skills in waste management. The project provided assistance in creating urban gardens for daily food independence, managing plastic waste for vertical planting, and processing vegetable and fruit waste into healthy drinks and organic fertilizer. The aim was to increase the economic value and benefits of urban backyard farming.

In Seoul, South Korea, the suitability of urban rooftop greenhouses (RGs) was analyzed by combining the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Location suitability factors were derived through expert consultations, and AHP was used to calculate factor weights. The highest weight for RG location factors was benefit (0.1782), followed by officially assessed land prices (0.0913) and supermarket density (0.0802). Analysis linking these results with spatial data revealed that Gangseo-gu had relatively high location suitability scores.

This paper proposes an architectural strategy, specifically urban acupuncture, to reactivate the degraded tourism identity of Kampung Jaksa, particularly Jaksa Street, in Indonesia. The design results in a gallery building focused on culinary tourism, explaining Indonesian cuisine through interactive and learnable techniques. This design also includes supporting programs such as vertical urban farming and site-responsive building orientation to provide public space.

This study was conducted in 10 districts of Tasikmalaya City, Indonesia, involving 100 urban farming actors. It aimed to analyze the performance of urban farming and its influencing factors in Tasikmalaya City, and to formulate a sustainable urban farming development model using SEM WarpPLS 7.0. The findings indicate that urban farming performance in Tasikmalaya City positively influences sustainable agriculture, and that actor characteristics and supporting institutions affect urban farming performance.

This study developed a spatial model for land suitability evaluation of urban agricultural development under different investment demands (urban agriculture 1.0 and 2.0) in Fuzhou, China. GIS and TOPSIS analysis techniques, based on prospect theory, were utilized. The land suitability evaluation system incorporated ecological environment, social demand, and investment cost. Results indicated Changle as the most suitable area for urban agriculture 1.0, while Gulou was most suitable for urban agriculture 2.0.

A community service project in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, aimed to empower the Aisyiyah branch community through organic urban farming using polybags. The project provided training in organic plant cultivation and verticulture, and developed organic nutrient production from household waste to ensure fertilizer availability. The initiative successfully produced starter fertilizers, including biolactobacillus and Local Microorganisms (MOL).

This research surveyed 80 farm households in Huay Lan Subdistrict Municipality, Thailand, between December 2018 and January 2019, to examine socio-economic and environmental conditions and the potential of urban agriculture for food security. The study found uncertainties in future food security due to labor shortages, low productivity, low income, and chemical use. Spatial clustering identified weaknesses and development opportunities, suggesting a farmer coalition could enhance food security through collective efforts.

This study investigated urban communities' perceptions of how ethnobotanical practices and urban farming relate to planet, people, and profit in achieving "city healing," surveying 150 respondents in five major Indonesian cities. Analysis using structural equation modeling and partial least squares showed that people, planet, and profit generally have excellent and significant effects on urban farming ethnobotany, and the use of ethnobotanical practices has a considerable and beneficial impact on urban health.

This study investigated the potential of the "Lihat Kebunku" (Look at My Garden) urban farming movement in Surakarta during the pandemic, using normative and concept research methods. Secondary data and existing concepts were utilized for information collection. The study results indicated that the movement of agricultural land use in Surakarta can be a mobilization process ensuring increased community participation and awareness in utilizing abandoned land through urban farming.

The implementation of an urban farming program at the Elok Mekar Sari farmer group in Semolowaru Village, Surabaya City, Indonesia, was investigated using descriptive qualitative research and the van Meter van Horn model. Policy objectives and standards were achieved, and inter-organizational communication was optimally implemented. However, human resources and social environment aspects were not optimal, and implementers' understanding of the urban farming policy's objectives was found to be lacking.

A literature review on the issue of agricultural land conversion to non-agricultural uses in Bekasi Regency, Indonesia, identified its direct impacts. The study noted reduced rice production, loss of fertile agricultural land, loss of investment in irrigation infrastructure, landscape damage, increased river and groundwater pollution, occurrence of natural disasters like floods and droughts, and a lack of water absorption areas. These findings indicate the need for policies and programs supporting sustainable urban planning.
